Journal Club

HCORP Journal Club is part of the educational didactic curriculum. At various times throughout the year, we have journal club dedicated to the sub-specialty of the current curricular block. We discuss four articles with the sub-specialty faculty from across the hospitals. We have the special privilege of having the JBJS Editor-in-Chief in attendance given the proximity to its headquarters.

The chief residents determine the articles selected. Both residents and faculty view the journal club as a forum to discuss the current advances and controversies in orthopaedics.

The journal club was founded by a former resident, David W. Wimberley, M.D., in the fall of 2000. Current leadership for the club is provided by one of our senior residents.
