Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School
About the Journal
The Harvard Orthopaedic Journal (HOJ) was founded in 1999 by a group of residents at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program (HCORP) with mentorship from the faculty in orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School (HMS). It originally began as “a forum for the exchange of ideas between Harvard institutions – and between current residents and the alumni.” Over the years, HOJ has transformed in a variety of ways and is today a full-color, print publication known as the Orthopaedic Journal at Harvard Medical School (OJHMS).
The mission of the OJHMS is to provide readers from throughout the world with up-to-date knowledge and scientific advances on a broad spectrum of all topics related to orthopaedic surgery. It is a free and open access journal, exclusively published in English yearly. All scientific articles undergo rigorous blinded peer-review prior to publication. The Editorial Board consists of faculty and residents in orthopaedic surgery who hold appointments at Harvard Medical School and its clinical affiliates. OJHMS is published yearly in June.
